{Austin and Maddie}

About 5 months ago I witnessed Maddie on her wedding day after she worked through months planning.  I really appreciated all the details, many of which were DIY, that were incorporated into her big day.  I had a very small part in her wedding, solely the personal florals, but the natural and simplistic beauty of this day was so magically captured by Nina and Wes Photography I had to share.

{Eddie and Lauren}

Its been a while since I have had the time to complete a blog post, but as the professional photos from 2015 weddings trickle in I am energized to post some of the beautiful events from last season.

Especially with the newly fallen snow and the extra chill in the air I am remembering Eddie and Lauren's beautiful June wedding at White Hall Mansion and Gardens in Louisville.  It was an EXTREMELY, I mean fan blowing I cannot handle the sun for more than 3 minutes kind of day.  As we were setting up, water breaks were a must every 5 minutes in order to stay alert.  It was probably the hottest wedding I have ever undertaken.  With all that being said, the photos merely  depict a beautiful summer wedding, just as they should.  The photos are perfect.  They capture the beauty of this couple, the summery and outdoor feel of White Hall Mansion and all the great details.

I loved this event for the vibrant colors and its wild natured florals.  An assortment of birdcages and lanterns were packed full of lush foliage and pops of colors; I particularly adored the dessert table.

What a joy it was to work so closely with Lauren and her Mother.  Designing for them was pure joy!

{Adam and Marina}

This year we have been blessed to work on some really beautiful weddings in the Louisville area.  Adam and Marina's wedding back in May kickstarted our marathon of weddings in this LOVELY city.  The venues, the restaurants and the local businesses influence this city making it the gem that it is, and improving the wedding industry because creativity can be endless.

Marina has such wonderful taste which complimented our natural and organic floral style.  The ceremony took place at probably the most beautiful church in all of Kentucky, Saint Joseph Catholic Church, followed by a cocktail style reception at the Marcus Lindsey, a great newly renovated venue downtown.

We again had the privilege of working with talented photographers which beautifully captured this wedding from start for finish.

Congrats again Adam and Marina!

{Stuart and Rikki}

This wedding kickstarted our season into full gear and I wouldn't haven chosen a better couple to make it happen, especially out at Keeneland.  It was a bit hot for May but with all the excitement in the air no one complained.  Rikki was probably one of the most charming and easy brides to work with, and being from Nashville area we were fortunate enough to work with some new and very professional vendors.  It was also a treasure to work with Lang Thomas and Kate Leichhardt of Lang Thomas Photography for the first time.

{David and Rachel}

This gorgeous Spring day reminds me of Rachel and David's wedding which took place last Spring around this time when the fresh smell of new growth and blooms were in the air.  Their ceremony took place at St. John's United Church of Christ in downtown Lousiville with a reception that followed at the Henry Clay Estate.  I am not sure I have seen a more beautiful bride.  Rachel looked stunning that day!

{Damian and Sara}

As the snow continues to stay I am so wonderfully warmed by these images from our Wedding at the Marriott Griffin Gate - Mansion back in July.  Sara and Damian were sure a joy to work with as well as Sara's family whom I also got to know.  The florals were to have a organic, summery, garden feel.  I have to say, my all time favorite floral accent that was used in the wedding was the Bridal Veil Spirea.  It is only available for a short period of time every year.

{Sam and Beth}

Beth and Sam are a sweet sweet couple that I had the pleasure of working with during a really HOT weekend in June.  I met Beth through Kentucky Bride, where she works as a graphic designer.  Gradually our circles of friends overlapped, we became friends and I was thrilled when asked to assist with her bouquet and the decor for the cross.  Their wedding held at a new wedding venue in Versailles, the McGee House, fit perfectly with her romantic and vintage flare.
